1. Who we are

This quiz and our website are operated by Intima Cordis House, a division of Kerrie Lumbewe Media Pty. Ltd., based in Sydney, Australia. We are responsible for the personal information collected through it. Contact: hello@kerrielumbewe.com.au.

2. Information we collect

  • Quiz answers and generate results, which may include sensitive information about your childhood.

  • Email address, optionally entered to join our mailing list.

  • Mailing list preference, if you opt in.

  • Technical data collected automatically by our form provider, such as IP address, browser type and submission time.

If you subscribe through our website, we also collect your email address (and your name, if the form asks for it). When you visit our website, our website host collects technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, and uses cookies (see sections 4 and 8). The quiz does not ask for your name, address or any other identifying details.

3. How we use it

If you subscribe through our website, we use your email address (and name) to send you occasional emails about the book and related resources, based on your consent. We use website technical data to run and secure the site and, where you accept cookies, to understand how it is used. We never combine website sign-up details with quiz answers. We do not use quiz data for research, profiling or advertising, and we do not sell it. You give explicit consent by ticking the box at the start of the quiz. Your results are generated automatically, and no decisions with legal or similar effects are made about you. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, and we will delete your answers.

4. Service providers and international transfers

  • Tally (Belgium) collects and stores quiz submissions on our behalf as our form processor. Tally states that data is encrypted and stored in Europe.

  • Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) holds the email addresses of people who opt in, which we add manually after reviewing quiz submissions. Mailchimp may record whether you open our emails or click links in them. Quiz answers are never sent to Mailchimp.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace (Squarespace, Inc., USA), which processes website visitor data and details submitted through website forms, and which uses cookies. Details you submit through website sign-up forms are processed by Squarespace and, if you subscribe, added to our Mailchimp list. Squarespace transfers personal data from the EU and UK to the United States using standard contractual clauses.

Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification (Mailchimp) and standard contractual clauses (Mailchimp). We share information with no one else unless the law requires it.

5. Retention

  • Quiz answers and results: deleted after 30 days.

  • Email addresses entered without ticking the consent box: deleted within 30 days.

  • Mailing list subscribers (from the quiz or our website): kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 90 days.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your information, object to or restrict its use, request a portable copy, or withdraw consent. Email hello@kerrielumbewe.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email.

You may also complain to your privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or your national data protection authority in the EU or UK.

7. Security, age and updates

We limit access to your information and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. This quiz and our website are intended for people aged 16 and over. We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

8. Website cookies

Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary to run the site. Others, such as analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used, are used only if you accept them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time, and you can also block cookies in your browser settings.
